Tip 1: Include as many Micros into your diet as you can
Carrots, beets, broccoli, tomatoes, seasonal veggies and seasonal fruits, citrus fruits for adding that natural antioxidant and required hydration that you need every day. Some good fats like peanut butter, avocado, coconut oil, salmon, nuts and berries. Fish oil, salmon oil is your holy grail. If you cannot include fish oil to your diet, try using 2-3 grams of fish oil supplements every day. Herbs like garlic, clove, scallions which have plenty of healing properties.
Replace that vegetable oil with olive oil and make your mealtime fun and attractive by making juice, salads and trying new recipes every day.
Less sugar is the holy grail to healthy skin and these will help you keep your acne and pimples at bay.
Tip 2: Keep yourself, hydrated ladies, drink water!
Include fruits and vegetables which have plenty of water content. Refrain from having alcohol and drink plenty of water. It not only flushes out the toxins but also gives you a natural glow to your skin.
Tip 3: Get plenty of rest
Take a break from all your hectic schedules and have a proper 6-8 hours of sleep every day.
Tip 4: The magic ingredient is here! “Biotin”
Also known as Vitamin B7, the water-soluble vitamin is an essential supplement the deficiency of which may lead to hair loss, skin problems and dry-brittle nails. Biotin functions by inducing the synthesis of keratin which is the most abundant protein of skin and hair. Keratin helps in providing strength to your skin, nails and skin cells. With age, free radicals, pollution and sun damage can degrade these proteins in your body resulting in unhealthy hair, skin and nails.
How to know that you are biotin deficient?
All the unhealthy symptoms that include hair loss, baldness, alopecia, greying, loss of volume, rough skin, dull skin, early wrinkle formation, dry cuticle and everything bad. Besides maintaining a proper diet, unless you add biotin supplement to your meal the likelihood of having a healthy body will become impossible. Thus taking an increased dose will definitely help in solving all these problems at once and the best part is, you need not worry about its side effects because being a water-soluble vitamin it is neither produced nor stored in the body so any increased dosage will automatically be eliminated without causing any harmful effects.

Say no to shampoo and conditioner which have paraben and sulphates. Sulphates and parabens are found on laundry detergents and dishwashing liquid, you don’t want that on your body care ingredients, do you? So, use products which have natural ingredients only. Although dry shampoo is said to be highly convenient and time-efficient, it isn’t good for your hair. Also, avoid over-washing your hair as it will lead to loss of all the natural essential oil that you produce. Try oiling your hair once a week and avoid using any kind of heat. Even while bathing, use lukewarm to normal water for cleaning your hair as too much heat depletes the moisture content from your hair. Include natural ingredients in your home hair spa regimes, like aloe vera, green tea and lemon or eggs and yogurt; honey hair masks are immensely effective in treating dandruff. Besides, using neem oil, Bhringaraj oil or a fenugreek hair mask once a week or a month will definitely help you grow new hair and prevent the growth of bacteria in your scalp. Mix coconut oil or olive oil with pulp-free onion juice and apply to your scalp this has proven to be helpful to many women who have suffered from baldness or hair fall and wants to grow new hair. Consider trimming your hair every month or every two months to get rid of split ends and always use a conditioner to balance your pH after using a shampoo.
If you suffer from dandruff or itchy scalp it can result in chronic hair fall too, so does hormonal disorders like PCOS. Consult your doctor or a dermatologist before its too late.
Besides supplements, and a balanced protein diet, you need to keep your cuticles moisturized. Use a hand cream or a heavy moisturizer to keep your cuticles soft but strong and for preventing it from being brittle or excessively dry. Also, minimize your contact with water, use gloves while washing dishes or doing laundry. Avoid biting your nails, gel or acrylic nail and clip your nails often. Pay attention to the colour of your nails:
- White cuticles: liver problems
- Half pink or half white nails mean kidney diseases
- Yellow nails indicate sometimes you have lung problems
- Pale nails mean anemia
- And yellowish nails with bluish base mean diabetes problems.
Understand what your skin likes and what it doesn’t. Use chemical exfoliants instead of scrubs that help in forming micro-tears in your skin, for oily skin you should use green tea-based gel products and salicylic acid-based products. Keep your skin clean and moisturized, hydrate inside out, wear sunscreen when you head out and cleanse your face followed by moisturization every time you head out. Finally, a good night sleep and less stress will help you achieve all the goodness in one go.
Don’t forget to be consistent, maintain your healthy meals, supplements, hydration and sleep routine to achieve a healthy and happy lifestyle.
