What is glutathione?

Glutathione constitutes a tripeptide composed of three amino acid namely, cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine, and is found naturally in various fruits, vegetables and meats. A potent anti-oxidant, glutathione supplements have shown to possess skin lightening as well as age defying properties.

Glutathione for whitening

Glutathione is an antioxidant, an ingredient that is popularly touted in a lot of cosmetic whitening products and treatments aimed at brightening up and whitening skin complexion. It's really popular in particular in a lot of Asian countries. Some people think that it can inhibit the activity of the enzyme that is responsible for production of pigment in our skin.
