HORNY GOAT WEED - TO BOOST STAMINA

Also known as barrenwort, fairy wings, Yin yang Huo, bishop’s fat, horny goat weed is a herb. It is a genus of flowering plants in the family Berberidaceae. The common names for this herb come from the shape of the flowers, particularly where the spurs are longer than the sepals. It has a long history in the traditional medicine systems. According to a source, its name “horny goat weed” came from a goat- a herder once noticed that his goats became sexually stimulated after accidentally eating the herb. The botanical name for horny goat weed is “epimedium”.

Horny goat weed is used by many people around the globe for improving sexual performance, low sexual desire, and erectile dysfunction. It has also shown some positive effects against osteoporosis, menopause induced health issues, joint pain. However, research is considered limited. It also contains a group of chemicals called phytoestrogens, which are the agonists of the hormone estrogen. This is the reason that might be responsible for treating osteoporosis and post-menopausal health issues.
